On 6th August we launched the classroom building/resource centre that AOMU has been constructing at Mponela 2 Primary School, since December 2020. This is is the work of over 100 individuals who have responded to our calls for support and spared funds and/or effort to contribute to this purpose. About MK8,000,000 (£8,000) has been spent on this project. The painting was done by volunteers who work for the UKFCDO offices in Lilongwe led by Dan Pine. We are very gratefull for all the effort that has gone into this project. Well done everyone!
We still have plumbing works and furnishing to be done, but at least the children now have a better space to learn in.
