Management Team
Executive Director
Thandiwe Chirwa-Revill
Thandiwe has twenty years of experience divided equally in the education sector and development programming. In education she has worked under various roles in educational institutions, including work with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Working under various international NGOs in Malawi, her work focused on providing technical support to community based organisations; as well as civil society representation at national level. Key areas of engagement varied from education, health and governance across the years.
Apart from having a teaching qualification from the University of Hull, Thandiwe has a Masters in Public Policy and Management from the University of York and Bachelors degree in Humanities from University of Malawi.
Thandiwe currently works 3 days a week on voluntary basis.
Strategic Advisor
Lilian Saka
Lilian Saka has over twenty years extensive experience in development programming and management of non-governmental organisations. For 9 years, Saka was the Executive Director of Panos Institute Southern Africa, a regional communication for development organisation. She was with Panos for 13 years, previous to which she had worked for various local NGOs in Malawi.
Lilian is currently a PhD candidate in Global Development at the University of York, Interdisciplinary Global Development Centre (IGDC). She holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of the Free State in South Africa and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities from the University of Malawi.
Lilian is currently engaged on voluntary basis.
Programme Coordinator
Chisomo Njewa
Chisomo has great passion for supporting children living with disabilities. Prior to joining AOMU, Chisomo was involved in various initiatives to raise funds for young people with disabilities. He managed to source support with learning materials as well as mobility support. He has great vision for a better world for Malawi’s children facing challenges brought about by disability.
Finance Manager
Victoria Kampini
Victoria has over five years’ experience as an accountant and auditor for a finance company. She has also worked with various clients in both private and public sectors providing accountancy and assurance services. She is well conversant in the application of International financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In previous roles she has diligently monitored audit matters to achieve financial accountability and transparency. She is skilled in risk assessment and management, internal controls, preparation and analysis of financial statements and providing executive administrative support.
Victoria is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a graduate member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Zambia.
AOMU also has other programme staff who help the organisation achieve its goals. Most activities are carried out on voluntary basis out of passion and the need to make a difference.
